Currier Forest Products is a sixth-generation family-owned, FSC certified forest management company and producer of specialty lumber and wood products.

Nearly 200 years ago the Currier Family committed to the sustainable management of their forest and farmland in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Six generations later that love and commitment to the land continues and grows. Whether it’s pesticide or herbicide free crops, hormone or chemical free animal products, or products from the family’s well-managed forests, Currier Forest Products is committed to our future generations.

Currier Forest Products is FSC Certified

Both the forest management and the sawmill in Danville are FSC certified CoC (Chain of Custody). The lumber, timbers and boards produced from these well-managed forests meet the highest standard of approval for ensuring a “sustainable” forest product. For instance, we do not drag or skid logs through the woods. Instead, we build roads through the forest for rolling the fallen trees out on forwarders. This greatly minimizes the erosion within the forest.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

We all have a role to play in educating current and future customers about the importance of sound management and sustainability in our products.
